who is the present-day republican?

and who are examples? ie, is it more tea party or trump? the answers to those questions seem to change very quickly- not sharing the mindset, it's hard for me to track. the changes in the last decade seem extreme.

i suspect the same can be said of democrats. i suspect many see biden (and to a lesser degree hrc) to the be the left's likeness of romney/mccain.
