They got to play major conference basketball when they otherwise would have had no shot at being extended offers much less finding themselves in major roles.
Almost any metric compiled during that era is such a gross outlier in terms of unthinkable ineptitude or failure that it is going to skew any real metrics that are supposed to be representative of MU basketball. It would be one thing if we just under performed or didn't execute resulting in those metrics being compiled validly. But this is a situation where we basically gave up on men's basketball and didn't try, and produced metrics accordingly.
Technically it was the efforts of those playing during a real era of MU basketball who were told their efforts didn't count, because in an attempt to distract from the massive failure that was occurring we vacated an entire season of wins.
