to come out of Columbia in a generation. Only real contenders were Jorgenson (who flamed out after multiple major knee injuries), Kreklow (average role player at best), and Lance Harris (solid player who peaked as a sophomore).
But the Porters were just a couple years behind him. And there are a few guys who will be college freshmen this year who might also be better. Interesting to see Columbia seeming to produce a lot more college talent in recent years (and for us to benefit from almost none of it).
He's had a solid college career so far, averaging 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists per game last year at SMU, which didn't play a tough schedule but didn't really play a weak one, either (ranked 83rd out of 353 DI teams), with similar advanced metrics to Geist.
