That's due in part because of all the different players (Iran, Russia, the Syrians obviously, ISIS, rogue elements out of Iraq, Turkey).

Obama did not put us in another Iraq. He wanted to support the Kurds but was unwilling to commit much other than hardware and technical support. Ultimately it was not clear who could be trusted so they've been in wait and hold mode for years.

But it was glue that held the peace. Then Trump suddenly decides to blow it up because we've been there for 10 years. Which is awful thinking. His point is well taken but why suddenly do we take mostly SF support trooops out of Syria and then yet add 3,000 to ****ing Saudi Arabia?
