There’s a reason why nobody in the last 30 years has taken that shot regularly. It takes a ton of work to perfect it. Kareem was taught that when he was like 12. It was the only way he could compete on the playground, when he was smaller than everyone else.

The NBA changed its rules because of how dominant Shaq was. It’s part of why it’s hard for bigs to dominate now in the NBA unless they have a really diversified game like Joker.
