JFC that isn't enough time for anybody to process the fact that somebody holding a gun (didn't identify as police), is outside their house yelling commands. I will sometimes keep my door open with the screen door closed if the weather is nice, and if I have friends over late it will be open for a while. I couldn't imagine having the police come by for a safety check, and then immediately assume anybody in the house shouldn't be there.

Making it out to be a white vs. black thing is pretty dumb though.
