Where criminals are being held for drug use, or minor crimes

Let's create an amnesty for that.
Let's legalize all scheduled substances.
Let's reroute funds for those prison populations to rehabilitation programs.
Let's fully and completely end the War on Drugs forever.
Yes, some people will die of overdoses.
But that number is tiny compared to the number who are being penalized insanely as they attempt to learn to use drugs responsibly.
Meanwhile avenues for legal drugs and medicines continue to destroy lives thru sanctioned channels and experiences.
It's just nuts.
Whether it's opioids, alcohol, weed, herion or crack cockane, if people need to kill themselves to figure out how to deal with it responsibly then let them do it.
Freedom is freedom.
