Pinson not Dru will have to be difference maker.

The consensus on TB ( and Wu) is tha Dru Smith will be the player that makes this team better than last year. After watching film I believe Dru will be a solid contributor that does not make the unnecessary pass or attempt to do too much. However Dru is not going to blow by individuals,nor be able to take SEC caliber athletes off the dribble to get big buckets. This is why I believe Pinson is the key too a successful season.
Pinson is the only one in rotation( not counting Mario) that can put pressure on the defense by beating his man and going to the basket when the offense breaks down or in open court. This creates passing lanes and unlike Geist, Pinson can and will lay it off to the cutter or open man. Pinson's shooting ability will not allow defenses to play off and protect the drive. If Pinson realizes that not every pass has to be a "no look" or " spectacular pass look for him to have a strong year and be the most productive lead guard, barring injury. I do not think this will cause him to go pro as one has suggested.
