with Turkey that we are bound to until we aren't. We have no such treaty with the Kurds. The Kurds aren't necessarily our friends. You also ignore their terrorism and Marxist/socialist ties.

Turkey is a far, far, far bigger strategic partner and you don't want to push them further toward Russia and Iran.

Lastly, the authorization for military force in Syria does not authorize us to be there to protect the Kurds or to engage Turkey.
