Even when we were scoring a ton, we weren't doing it with a risky style. We passed a lot more, but we weren't exactly running an air-raid offense. Lots of "extension of the run game" with Daniel and Gabbert.

In GP's final seasons, we were back to running the ball a lot more than we passed, and I don't think Pinkel ever really deviated from his defensive approach of letting the other team beat themselves. Rarely ran anything exotic or elaborate. Just four pass rushers getting after the quarterback and everyone else (hopefully) playing sound football that allowed the opponents to mess up before we did.
