Ask any republican if the Federal government is too big too powerful and will any say no?
And does it get any better no matter who is President?
And the answer is no.
Congress regardless of who is president has largely abandoned its duties on governing this country and by default lets the President do what he will. This is wrong.
Not coincidentally the power of the Fed mirrors the
increasing power of the office of the President.
While the repubs cheer now at unilateral moves of the President, they all whined and cried 2009-1016 and will again the next time a dem is in office (if not 2020 then with 100% certainty in 2024).
The office of the President is not some 4 year dictatorship (as the partisans enjoy or hate- depending on which wing of the liberal party is in power).
The office of the President needs to be reined in and
balanced by the Congress.
A good start would be an impeachment to investigate the criminal and treasonous activities of don Trump.
I of course expect nothing to come of this and for the republicans to whine and wail and gnash their teeth when
a democrat comes into office. But what I expect is not the same as what I futilely demand should happen.
