He was the author of that book which was great
His pitch was essentially of course there is a "Deep State" the people who run the govt and that they are necessary to keep everyone else on the right track---they follow the law (or don't according to what we have seen with some) . The elected---like Trump don't.
Sort of an in between. Admits what many don't but supports it
