neutered and most have either accepted it and walked away or have gone into hibernation waiting to see what the post-Trump GOP looks like.

A very small number of them, like Romney, continue to quietly backstab Trump in hopes of tripping him up. Your average GOP supporter has a lower opinion of Romney than they do of Pelosi. At least she has the conviction of her beliefs in her fight for power, Romney does not even have that.
