Meat, I’m challenging you to explain how the demise of the republican party will usher in an era of small government.
Socialists are all about big government, redundant government, ridiculously expansive and always expanding government.
Is your thesis that if the republican party abandoned the field, and left it exclusively to the socialists, the socialists will unilaterally decide to reduce the size of government? The Democrat party whose foundational principle is huge centralized expensive government will decided to abandon that principal, if they are in total control of government and politics in the United States. Everything they have ever worked for, cheated for, stolen for, lied for… Will be abandoned in favor of small government when they are in control.

Tell me how that will work. I challenge you to do so.
