That and Watergate changed the media forever and not they think THEY run things and they control the narrative
They were willing partners in the build of the VN war and were the reason LBJ stepped aside after the 68 fiasco
I remember listening to the news on vacation with my parents in Oregon--Maddox, Turner Joy incident. Little did I know it would drag me in 8 years later
