Branch isn’t Trump the chief law enforcement officer in the land?
If he is the chief law enforcement officer and he suspects that an American citizen, specifically a government official, may have broken the law by exerting undue influence on a foreign government isn’t it his duty to determine if this has happened? Since US law enforcement has no jurisdiction there it would be important to get the cooperation of local officials.
How would any of this be unethical little long illegal? Is it supposed to be ignored simply because the person in question is a presidential candidate?
How does the left square this with their assertions that it was proper to surveil Trump during his campaign?
