they lash out...even more than usual and more embarrassingly than usual?

He is pretty pathetic. If you’re waiting for him to say something like, “oh, sorry. I didn’t know that. My mistake.” don’t hold your breath. Instead, he will call you a liar. It’s what he does.

And he gets more profane when he should get more embarrassed.
