Zodiac and wutang are claiming that one of our recruits — Mario McKinney — has 3 times more fans on social media than Mizzou Basketball and almost as many fans as KU basketball, and they're basing this on their Instagram follow counts:
• KU Hoops (@kuhoops) - 157k followers, 1635 posts
• McKinney (@hoodierio) - 135k followers, 49 posts
• MU Hoops (@mizzouhoops) - 41k followers, 2440 posts
Here's zodiac's post claiming that McKinney could make 6-figures/year off his 135,000+ Instagram followers:

When I pointed out to zodiac & wutang that it's easy to inflate your follow count via bots and auto-follow networks, they insisted that all 135k of his followers are *legitimate* fans:

When I asked them point-blank if they think McKinney has as many fans on social media as KU basketball, the answer was an astounding 'YES':

I'm not sure if wutang & zodiac simply can't admit when they're wrong, or if they really are gullible enough to believe that a high-3*/low-4* high-school player could have virtually the same number of fans on social media as KU basketball.
My question is whether the rest of you agree with them on this.

EDIT: This is not meant to be a jab at McKinney. He's a great player and I can't wait to see him play for Mizzou. There's nothing wrong with inflating your follow counts on social media, but there is something wrong with believing that a 3/4* high school player has more fans on social media than most P5 basketball programs.
