The lawyer's letter very clearly states that the rumors they're hearing is that the GJ declined an indictment....that's a far cry from DM's "most likely nothing has happened with the grand jury."

If there is a grand jury weighing the matter, there would not be an indictment at this point. Either there wasn't a GJ, or there was a GJ and they declined to indict....and most likely there was a GJ, because while the contents of the proceedings are sealed, in such tight circles as we're talking here, people would know of it's existence.
