The dems spent twice as much money as the repubs.
The guy overcame a 17 point deficit in three weeks to win, after Trump threw all his weight behind him.

It's just like the '18 "blue wave" where repubs lost a smaller amount of house seats than Kenya Barry in his first term, and actually won senate seats.
