recruiting, that was in place when Pinkel arrived and even those that can't spell our former hall of fame coach's name know he had a complete rebuild on his hands. Not so with Odom. Pinkel inherited a much more dire situation on all fronts. I recall the first year he had no cornerbacks on his roster. It was hilariously unfunny. Odom inherited a sensitive situation on campus and in the locker room and he navigated it very well. But he wasn't lacking a solid program. He got that.
