Persian's hadn't have taught them how to fight like real mean, no hellenistic army would have been able to give the Persians a hard time.

Persians played the greeks against eachother for centuries, did they learn? No, they were swallowed up never to emerge as an independent nation again.

The poor Macedonians were then swallowed by the Romans who ended up fighting the....you guessed it. Persians.
