Japan's domestically produced beef, but they still impose ridiculous impediments to our imports. Many countries use tariffs, health and safety regulatory schemes and other means to prevent American product entry into their markets. Why should America continue to serve as the open market for the rest of the world.

I should think a right thinking liberal, such as yourself would appreciate the environmental benefits to impeding Chinese industry. Can you imagine the reduction in carbon release into the atmosphere Trump is achieving by causing the Chinese to shutter unneeded factories? Trump's economic policies make him the GW/MMCC activist community's best friend.
