Fact is Muslims do not believe that.

Muslims CAN get over-run by their faith, but so can - to varying degrees, gang members futball fans and Trump rally attendees.

Christian tradition shows this behaviour as well in its past. The Crusades and the Inquisition are evidence that even religions ostensibly based on love can be subject to human emotion.

I share your dismay at human behaviour based on over-emphasizing religious conviction. Coincidentally, the 911 attack on NYC was a tactical terrorism action not orchestrated by its leader on religion but regionalism. Much has come from that attack and too much inspired violence in my view.
