Nixon was elected in a major landslide and when talk of impeachment came up, approval of that in the country was VERY low, likely in the teens or 20s. Saw the fiture once.

That was before the hearings. After the hearing Nixon had to resign to avoid shame of impeachment.

Dem idea is to lay out a damning case against Trump and hand it to the GOP to say no and hang it on the GOP's head.
