if you are unemployed , homeless and have a criminal background you can't expect to be treated like a contributing member of society
You are confusing legal rights with how society looks at someone based on their contribution to society
On the other hand if you are a black professional with a good job you will likely be treated with more respect and better than most whites---and should expect it . It's who you are not your race
