the old days of not being able to compel a person to tell you the combination to his safe, but with warrant they were compelled to turn over the key to a safe so equipped. Think of the cell phone as a safe and most likely if a person uses their finger print for unlocking they can probably be compelled to open it, but not tell police the combo. There are several relevant cases although I don't think any have reached SCOTUS. We will see
