at maybe 5...NOW you aren't up to date unless you got your last MMR booster at 16-17. But I'm sure we all knew SOOO many kids that got the measles when we were at Mizzou.
This whole vaccine debate is ridiculous. What gives people immunity is called a Th 2 reaction. It is cell mediated immunity. The complement system is a Th 1 reaction that produces antibodies. Vaccines only give a Th 1 reaction without the Th 2 reaction. When you are infected by a real virus (wild type), you get both a Th 1 and Th 2 reaction. Without the Th 2, you do not get immunity. However, the latest research actually shows that more people are getting the disease that actually HAVE been vaccinated than those that haven't because of viral shedding...
