People that get solar tend to increase their energy consumption and negate much of the benefit they should have seen from the purchase. They run the AC constantly instead of just when they need it... they keep lights on all the time....
Just my experience from being in solar for 17 years and listening to customers complain that their electric bill isn't 'zero' like they were promised.... only to show them that they increased their consumption by 50% on average.
