1) Not true..they don't make policies out of thin air..if anything, they want to keep trying and trying trying.
2) That is true, but not always been. It is actually the reaction to the Christian Right movement, which started that....so in a way the leftists moved so far left, they circled back to the right on this. It was the personal freedom that attracted me most to liberalism.
3) Yes..very true..they think they have the right answer...also very similar to the Christian Right who use their faith in God to preach upon others.
4) no problem with the distaste of blind patriotism. Pretty much everyone in government has shredded the Constitution by now.
5) Don't disagree...but the conservatives love to toss out the words socialism and communism as well
6) Also followed the Christian right moves here...and yes, intolerable
7) Well..partisanship brings hypocrisy
After reading this...it actually seems like modern liberalism has taken the pages out of the Christian right movements. It was the Christian Right that was put together to try to control people's behavior through government laws....at first, the liberals used the courts to block it. then they went on the offensive and worked to do the same. Now, both sides continue to double down on their efforts.
