more outgoing of the two and she found someone and settled down. pre-cat lady started becoming a 3rd wheel, and over time started to find herself more and more alone. when her friend and her husband started having kids, pre-cat lady compensated by starting her own family with a cute little kitten. they got along great and oh the fun they had! but not long after, the newness wore off and the emptiness and loneliness remained. so she tried to fill it with another cat. and it worked. that rascal brought her so much joy! but eventually, the emptiness returned. the cycle continued and before long, brenda found herself in the center of a living room floor full of cats. she is a cat lady now.
