All depends on the SEC TV package and how the cookie crumbles. Beating SCe two weeks earlier improves our chances at a decent afternoon or early evening slot.
TV slots are announced from 6 to 12 days out.
Other SEC matchups October 12 that will impact MU's start time versus Ol Miss:
Alabama at A&M
Arkansas at Kentucky
Florida at LSU
Mississippi State at Tennessee
South Carolina at Georgia
CBS gets first choice, then ESPN and the SECN choose.
Of these matchups I would speculate a MU vs Ole Miss game falls below Alabama/A&M, UF/LSU and SCe/UGA in national interest so you can rule out the 2:30 primetime slot.
That leaves either 11 a.m. or two evening slots.
