I believe that Texas may very well be in play for the Dems in 2020. It certainly is going to swing by 2024, but that's another discussion.
In the 2012 Senate election -7,635,244 voters voted for dems or repubs with repubs gathering 1,245,000 ish more votes.
In 2018 Senate election- it was 8,306,185 total dems and repubs with repubs gathering 415,000 ish more votes.
In effect not only did the 670,000 new voters vote 100% for dems but 200,000 repub voters switched.
A yuge percentage of new voters are going to be kids, by a large percentage voting dem.
Iffen somewhere in the neighborhood of 130,000 Texas voters are tired of Trump's antics in 2020 compared to how they voted in 2018 =Texas will go to dems.
This is going to be a tighter race than most expect.
If Texas goes to Dems, then nothing else makes a difference, the dems win.
This makes it more crucial for the worthless shiftless amoral repubs to keep the Senate than most people realize.
