Kona isn't bad.

But honestly, if you are starting out and want to save some money, I would order from BikesDirect. The same companies that manufacture the frames and parts provide the same stuff to them, it just doesn't have the brand name on it.

And, one downside to ordering from BikesDirect is you don't support the local bike shop and get their free services (many offer lifetime tune ups)

Check out this bike with disc brakes that would normally cost you $1,000+
