It doesn't matter.
Being a threat from 3 makes it easier to penetrate and distribute as the D can't pack the lane as much.
A pg has to be able to make shots after penetrating or again, defenses won't be that concerned and can focus on clogging his passing lanes.
And FT% means he's much more dangerous and the D can't just foul him to mitigate his threat.
Good fg% is never a bad thing and only ever makes a player better and harder to guard.
