Here's why what he said, and that article, is useless today in making a point of no gov't is necessary. When Burke lived there was virtually nothing invented yet to help people. No wheelchairs, no artificial arms and legs that weren't so primitive they were hardly useful, almost no medicines, etc, etc, etc. So not having gov't aid meant little, when there was almost no aid to give people relative to today.
So spare us your typical pre-programmed, brainwashed speech. Why not just say gov't spends too much, say it spends WAY too much, and let it go at that. Try to keep your ingrained selfishness away from the intelligent and enlightened. You are of no value to us.
