Could be as simple as an anti-top X list.
Lots of recruits are narrowing their lists to finalists right now. Maybe he’s simply informing people he’s not at that stage and is planning on taking his time (and signaling to coaches who haven’t reached out that he’s willing to listen to new pitches).
