the Senate. Johnson fell a single vote short of removal, removal of Clinton while very unlikely was possible if just a handful of senate Dems had voted with the GOP.

Today the GOP has a sizable majority. If the House impeaches Trump and every Dem senator votes for removal they would still require 23 more votes for removal. Why waste the time?
