respect that. I do not really have strong feelings one way or another about capital punishment.

I believe when looked at from a guilt-innocence perspective it is perfectly rational to be pro-life and support capital punishment. I also believe your stance is rational. I simply do not understand those who fight to protect the lives of rapist and murderers and in the same breath advocate killing the unborn.
