He wants to keep expectations low on a rookie quarterback while they try to win with a veteran.

Lock, like every rookie QB, has a long way to go.

As far as I’ve seen, players generally like playing for Fangio. Or did as a defensive coordinator. Maybe it’ll be different as a head coach, but I doubt it.
