It is just a number....Very high min wages have become reality of many cities, and now Dems want to take it national. I completely understand the principles and disagree with it.
But the method is exactly what Trump did. Candidates want to be recognized. The new way of being recognized is to create very loud noise.
Unfortunately, politics has moved quickly to who can be the loudest and offer the most outrageous position.
If you notice in Trump's interview with Chuck Todd, the person he is most afraid to (probably next to who is loudest) is Biden...probably because Biden offers the most calm, something I think moderates are now looking for.
Trump is doing two things. Suring up his extremes (twitter war with the quad is doing that), and trying to make sure someone extreme gets the nomination. ...or at least paint the party as extreme.
I think he could mis-calculate on two parts. First, the extreme Democrats come out and vote this time...they stayed home last time...Second, what do moderates do?
