That would be a fun opportunity for a young guy to get involved and learn the ropes in professional sports management - looks like the BBL is just half a dozen years old, teams play in small gyms (most under 2000 capacity), the "league" is a single entity owned by investors that are team chairmen. Looks like they're taking a conservative route to competing for bigger money in Europe. But right now only one team has ever qualified for the 2nd level of european championship play. For US players it's a relatively short 32 game season that would allow them to come home for 9 months while playing in a english-speaking country. Teams are under a 200,000 GBP cap that excluded the top 2 british born players. Each team can have a max of 3 foreign born players. Salaries typically include added benefits such as housing and per diem. With 11-man rosters I'd think a good America player can probably make about 30,000 GBP plus room and board for a 3-month 33 game season.
