Old school, Defensive Coach, wants to motivate his young back-up QB while also humbling him and at the same time re-assuring his starting QB and reminding silly reporters that there is no "QB controversy". He's coaching a team who's division rival is led by a dynamic young QB in Mahomes who was drafted by KC under a similar scenario: intern under a proven veteran for a year or two at most before taking over as starter. Lock has frequently been compared to Mahomes and the Denver fan base is hungry for to compete.
