Sounds like a micro aggression to me.
Did you even consider for instant your choice might be a cultural appropriation?
Did you think for even a passing moment, that your choice might be have disparate impact on the availability of that ice cream in minority communities and food deserts?
That is the kind of dog whistle, subtle racism that has kept black people down for centuries.
I think that is how racism works. Not sure.
