Your side has called CNN "fake news" and "agenda-driven" - why would you expect them to suddenly parse statements in search of journalistic integrity?
And, so much of this is theatre for public consumption. To me, Liz Cheney saying that "she knows" (as if it's some certainty and she has the manual) what's destructive for America. Maybe it's just destructive to Liz's version of America and not one envisioned by the other side.
I think Trump just bloviates. He did it at Rosie O'Donnell before he was POTUS. He chooses a target and posts crap to get attention like a child. People seem to like it and he uses that as justification for what he said, never giving a thought to whether those who "like" his tweet might be wrong.
