term, people of color is a phony baloney, Raskolian, transparently deceitful attempt to pretend that all people save white people, are united in their oppression.
People of color are abused by white people.
They want to suggest that blacks, browns, injuns, Asians, Eskimos, aborigines, Arabs are all oppressed by crackers.
Rather than specify only a single oppressed Group and risk leaving out all the others, and pretending to represent only a small fraction of the electorate, they say, “people of color”, that seems to give them the clout, the impetus and the critical mass of a large percentage of the population.
All of whom are oppressed, all of whom are united against racism, oppression, bigotry and… White people.
