The democrats decried a 'manufactured crisis' at the border all the while there existed a true humanitarian crisis with no signs of abatement. House democrats refused border money for both enforcement and the ability to house, feed and properly care for illegal immigrants.
This so called 'manufactured crisis' got so bad senators from both parties voted 84-8 to fund Homeland Security the necessary money. This bipartisan 84-8 vote is veto proof and forced the recalcitrant House of representatives to act. Even in the face of this Ocasio-Cortez and the other three progressive women still voted no even though they have loudly decried the inhumanity and suffering at the southern border.
