are taking the exact approach to recruiting that they should take (at least from what I've seen from the prominent ones today).
They're not playing favorites, and they're encouraging their athletes to make the right decision for them. They treat each coaching staff with initial skepticism and make those coaches earn their trust (a good thing when the profession is filled with snake-oil salesmen who job hop every few years). But they also understand the benefits of playing for a regional program and encourage their players to give the local teams a shot. This has helped both us and Illinois.
No one seems to be actively steering players away from Mizzou or anyone else, and no one seems to be actively working to the benefit of one program over another. They're all focused on doing right by their kids. Great to see.
