article which if you read it was only describing an archaeologist studying a localized yet massive flood, let me go into why a global flood story is nonsense.


Sedimentologists study major floods. In every major flood they find course-grained deposits of sand, gravel and boulders from the fast water stage of a flood. Once the flood recedes, it only leaves one kind of deposit.. a single layer of mud.

This layering should be found across the globe in the same layer if there was a global flood. It does not exist. The Grand Canyon is the perfect place to observe this. You can see layers upon layers of shale, sandstone alternating. Not seen are the layering of a single huge flood encompassing the canyon. Instead there are hundreds of small floods.

Another example showing a global flood never happened is in the road cuts just outside the Answers in Genesis creation museum. This one is my favorite, because it is right under their nose.

Visible from the road there are coral preserved in life position sticking out of the cuts that were buried. Above them, more coral and burying. Then more coral. This shows instead of a catastrophic flood, coral lived and was buried in a shallow seafloor. More coral grew on top of that layer and then was eventually buried, a process repeating over and over. It is quite a joke amongst geologists that exposed evidence is right near this "museum".
