spinning why Trump’s tariff threat against Mexico wasn’t a win (which it clearly was). This only makes them appear petty and bitter. The smart play would be to convince people it was a win that came with a risky and foolish gamble. They could score points with that. But their own bitterness actually denies them the very narrative they seek. They simply cannot concede any type of victory to President Trump.
